DETAILS:

This CTA station was designed as a gateway to Chinatown and McCormick Place, the nation’s largest convention center. The architect deployed a tube structure that was able to be prefabricated and lifted into place. This enclosure also promotes user comfort and creates a landmark clearly visible from blocks away. Steel, glass and concrete are materials of choice for the newest generation of CTA stations, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.
