WGN Flag & Decorating Co.

Behind this Neo-Baroque storefront with its technicolor terra cotta and twisting columns is a family-owned flag business founded in 1916. It stocks high-quality flags for Chicago, the United States and many other territories and institutions. The company also produces custom banners and bunting for all manner of notable events, including V-Day decorations for Marshall Field's, flags for Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to Chicago in 1959 and all of the Bulls and Blackhawks championship banners at the United Center. With production taking place in a cozy workshop just behind the store, WGN is one of the last companies to produce flags locally.
