DETAILS:

Poetry is a place in Chicago. The Poetry Foundation, the AIA Award-winning home for poetry in downtown Chicago, is a serene, minimalist-inspired building designed by Chicago-based architect John Ronan. Opened in 2011, the Poetry Foundation building houses thePoetrymagazine and Foundation offices, a Library containing more than 30,000 volumes of poetry, an adaptable Gallery, and a performance space that has hosted hundreds of free events over the years. As much of the building exterior is glass, all of these will be visible from the Foundation’s tree-lined courtyard during regular business hours: Monday–Friday 11:00 AM–4:00 PM.
