Oak Park

One Lake Brewing

1 Lake St.

DETAILS:

One Lake Brewing is a brewpub located in the former First National Bank building, which was completed in 1920 but closed in 1930 in the midst of the Great Depression. The neo-classical limestone exterior has been restored and updated with new windows and the addition of a rooftop deck. Inside, old meets new where original architectural details mesh with work by local artisans. This includes a stunning two-story chandelier crafted from beer bottles, repurposed doors from an old Irish pub and flooring from the first Ford showroom outside of Detroit now making up the bar and table tops. While you sip a cold one, enjoy the many vintage 1920s photos of Oak Park that line the walls, courtesy of the Oak Park River Forest Museum. The roof deck also offers sweeping views of the CTA Green Line and Chicago skyline from the West.
