Pullman House Project
605 E. 111th St.
DETAILS:
The Pullman House Project provides an opportunity to experience George Pullman's town as workers did in the 1880s when this small but bustling community was home to over 12,000 residents. Select Pullman housing units are being acquired and redeveloped as the backdrop for stories of Pullman's workers and their families. Their stories help explain why people chose to relocate to Pullman from all over the world. Two exhibit units have been developed and are now open to the public as part of the Pullman House Project tour program. The Welcome Center is the starting point, where the Pullman Club Coffee Shop is also located, providing an additional source of revenue for the Project's mission.
