KLEO Art Residences

KLEO Art Residences challenges norms in affordable housing. The innovative and uniquely designed development consists of 58 apartments in service of artists in the Washington Park neighborhood. The building’s translucent polycarbonate façade provides optimal diffuse light for the resident-artists, which at night becomes a glowing beacon. The Residences build on the mission of the KLEO Center in providing space for retail, community activities and after-school recreation plus several artist studios where residents can make and sell work. The project also seeks to catalyze new development along Garfield Boulevard, between the CTA Red Line station and Washington Park.
