The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts was founded in 1956. The Foundation makes project-based grants to individuals and organizations while producing public programs about architecture and its role in the arts, culture and society. The Graham Foundation is located in the Madlener House, a turn-of-the-century Prairie-Style mansion. It features a stunning entryway and ornamentation by Hugh M. G. Garden. The house was restored in 1963 by Brenner, Danforth & Rockwell.
