Chicago Scenic Studios

DETAILS:
Chicago Scenic Studios was established in 1978 as a design and fabrication studio serving Chicago’s emerging off-Loop theater community. Today, the company provides these services to a wide range of industries. Their work can be seen throughout Chicago at institutions like the American Writers Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Museum of Science and Industry, on stage in the Lyric Opera's sets; in nearly all local television studios including the Big Ten Network and the Bears studio in Halas Hall; and in corporate visitors centers and themed environments including PepsiCo and 360 Chicago. After decades on Goose Island, Chicago Scenic Studios has moved to a new building that provides space for carpentry, metalwork, sculpture, scenic painting, electrical/mechanical, interactive development and automation.
