Morgan Park
Morgan Park Presbyterian Church
2017 W. 110th Pl.
DETAILS:
The Morgan Park Presbyterian Church is all too familiar with rebirth. The current church building, which was built after a 1933 fire destroyed the first location, survived its own fire in 1992. Despite this, the church has maintained its elegance through the years. With a design that is characteristic of classic 15th century English churches, Morgan Park is decorated with motifs common to the Tudor Gothic style. Its beautiful stained glass windows, each of which represent religious characters and subjects, narrowly escaped the 1992 fire, and a few charred stones show just how close they came to destruction.
