DETAILS:
IIDA, the commercial interior design association, recently relocated its international headquarters to Illinois Center, at 111 E. Wacker Dr., the iconic Mies van der Rohe tower that is also home to the CAC. The 17,000-square-foot space, offering sweeping views of the city and the Chicago River, is a prime example of the new human-centric workplace. The space features light-filled offices and conference rooms, unexpected pops of whimsy, and an array of inviting public areas to meet, connect, and collaborate. The Gensler-designed space supports the Association’s 35 global chapters and is an example of how interior design positilivey impacts people’s lives every day.
