Downtown
Freehand Chicago
19 E. Ohio St.
DETAILS:
The former Tokyo Hotel has been transformed by Roman & Williams from a dingy relic into a trendy, exciting hotel and hostel. The Freehand offers affordable lodging with high design in the middle of Chicago's bustling nightlife and retail district. It is just the second Freehand property in the world. The building includes both traditional hotel accomodations and hostel-style shared rooms catering to younger travelers. The highlight of the rejuvenated space is the luxurious first floor living room that fuses Prairie-Style and Southwestern designs. Another highlight is the Broken Shaker bar imported from the Freehand's original Miami Beach location.
