Jefferson Park
Ed Paschke Art Center
5415 W. Higgins Ave.
DETAILS:
The Ed Paschke Art Center opened on June 22, 2014, on what would have been Paschke’s 75th birthday. Located in a renovated space in the heart of Jefferson Park, the Center preserves and exhibits the work of the legendary local painter, a key figure in the group of SAIC artists known as the Chicago Imagists. It provides the public with an educational resource and offers a platform for local talent to show work. The Center also runs an artist residency program. There’s even a re-imagination of Paschke’s Rogers Park studio from around the time he passed away in 2004.
