Rogers Park
Emil Bach House
7415 N. Sheridan Rd.
DETAILS:
This compact Prairie-Style home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is located in the oldest section of Rogers Park, a neighborhood of Chicago on the north side. The home was completed for the co-owner of the Bach Brick Company. He was inspired to build it after his brother commissioned another Wright home nearby (since demolished). It is one of the latest examples of Wright's use of Prairie-Style design. The house was designed for the Emil Bach family and at the time had open views of Lake Michigan. It was meticulously restored to its original splendor by TAWANI Enterprises, and it is now operated as a vacation home and event venue. A Japanese tea house and gardens and spacious yard and patio are included in the rental. Today the Emil Bach House is a hidden gem in the urban surroundings of Rogers Park.
