1611 W. Division St.

DETAILS:

Chicago's first official Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is the first high-rise apartment building constructed on the near Northwest Side in several decades. The striking contemporary facade incorporates a busy assortment of glass and cascading silver panels which offer insulation and energy efficiency without sacrificing city views. The development—which is close to the Division Blue Line train station—is intended to add high density housing to one of Chicago's most in-demand neighborhoods without adding traffic or road congestion. In order to achieve this, the building features bicycle amenities and a car-share station but does not include parking. A furnished rooftop deck offers unobstructed skyline views and barbecue grills.
