Rotary International World Headquarters

1560 Sherman Ave.

DETAILS:

This high-rise office building shares its architect with downtown's famed Lake Point Tower. Rotary International, a global service organization, purchased the building for its headquarters in 1987. The exhibit in the lobby explores how the Rotary network addresses persistent challenges in communities around the world. Also on the ground floor is Room 711, a recreation of the office where the first Rotary Club meeting took place in Chicago in 1905. The 17th floor showcases how The Rotary Foundation turns ideas into action. A staircase in the light-filled atrium leads to the 18th floor and an interactive space that features Rotary milestones, leadership and vision. The Board Room and office of the president offer sweeping views of the lake and skyline.
