DETAILS:

Founded in 1976, Steppenwolf Theatre Company is a professional organization rooted in artist-driven theatre with an appetite for bold and innovative plays. In 1991, they opened a new theater complex at 1650 N. Halsted, becoming a fixture in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. And in 2021, Steppenwolf expanded its campus with the new 400-seat circle-in-the-round style Ensemble Theater and Arts and Education building designed by Chicago-based Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. Steppenwolf has received national and international acclaim, including a series of Tony Awards and The National Medal of Arts.
