DETAILS:

GEMS World Academy Chicago, an International Baccalaureate Preschool-Grade 8 independent school, is a part of a prestigious global network of private schools. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago where the river meets the lake, this high-rise facility spans 83,000 square feet across 10 floors, offering a unique educational environment that merges GEMS' international curriculum with the vibrant urban landscape of Chicago.  Completed in 2014, the same year GEMS welcomed its first cohort of students and families, the building features state-of-the-art amenities, including a rooftop terrace where students can play and take in stunning views of the lake. Each classroom is designed to maximize natural light and offer expansive views of the city, enhancing the learning experience. The cafeteria, with its terrace, provides a space where students and staff can enjoy lunch while overlooking the cityscape.  GEMS’ prime location near Millennium Park and Lake Michigan allows for dynamic partnerships and outdoor learning opportunities, making Chicago itself an integral part of the educational journey. As GEMS celebrates its 10th year in Chicago, the school continues to foster a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing critical thinking, leadership, and global citizenship, preparing students to be the change agents of tomorrow.
